Woohoo go James!

This weekend James competed at Auckland Athletics Championships. He achieved these outstanding results:

1st place in Discus 

2nd place in 100m, 200m and Long jump

3rd place overall

What a week!

Wow, what an incredible week full of fun. Both year 5 and 6 camps went amazing with the most stunning weather to top it off. Big thanks to all the parents who helped at both.

Camps this week!

Just a reminder this coming week we have both year 5 and 6 camps. Year sixes leave on Monday morning with myself, Mrs Knofflock, Mr Mac and Mrs Steel. Year fives leave for Piha on Thursday then stay the stay the night in the school hall with Miss J, Mrs Poole, Mrs Driver and Mrs Dowden. On Monday, Tuesday and Wedneday Year fives will be in room 5 with Mrs Dowden. Big thanks to all the parents who are coming along and helping out at both camps!

Miss Coffers favourite memory: At my year six camp when I faced my fear of the abseiling wall. I ended up loving it so much I learnt how to hang upside down infamously known as the hanging angel!

Well done Willa for getting the certificate at school assembly. You have made a great start to the year in Room 6!

Camps are next week!

We are very excited in Room 6, knowing that camp is only next week for both year 5 and 6. We have been writing "I wonder" poems because we are interested to see what camp will be like...

Yo yo,

We have each been working hard on a rap about ourselves. Through this we have explored rhyming words. Our raps have turned out awesome.

Our jigsaw!

We have finished our awesome jigsaw. We discussed how this represents us as a class. As we are each unique and all bring something different, however we need every single one of us otherwise we wouldn't be complete! 

Maths word problem

Today we looked at this Maths Word Problem. Our challenge is to try find a word worth exactly $100 by Friday! There is awesome prize up for grabs if we do! 

Our jigsaw in the making...

We are making a 30 piece jigsaw puzzle. Each piece is made my one of us and it has our alliteration nick name on it! This will all join together and make a big puzzle on our back wall. Watch this space to see the finish product...
